If she is found guilty on child neglect and abuse charges, a 43-year-old Milwaukee mother could be sentenced to more than 40 years in prison. Tracey Shields is accused of keeping her six children in a home which was filled with animal waste, mold and garbage. The Child Advocacy Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin says three of her children were extremely dirty, unkempt and smelled bad. When a Milwaukee police officer visited the home, he said he could smell the foul odor from the outside.
