Lawmaker’s Daughter Faces New Drug Charges While In Prison

The daughter of a powerful legislative leader is accused of delivering drugs and other illegal items to an inmate in the Brown County Jail.  Thirty-year-old Cassandra Nygren is the daughter of Joint Finance Committee co-chairman John Nygren, a Republican from Marinette.  She’s already in prison while she waits for her trial to begin on charges she supplied the drugs which killed a woman.  Her homicide trial is scheduled to start in February.  She has been in jail for the last two years.
