Hit-And-Run Suspect Enters Stranger’s Home To Hide From Police

Wauwatosa police say a mother and her child were inside their home Tuesday afternoon when a man came in.  The mother called 9-1-1 and officers quickly took the 26-year-old hit-and-run suspect into custody.  His name hasn’t been released, but police say he is from Milwaukee.  They think he was involved in the hit-and-run accident in Wauwatosa about a mile from the home where he was caught.  While he was trying to get away, the suspect stole a bicycle from an elementary school, leading to that school going on lockdown.  Only minor injuries were reported from the hit-and-run.
