Organizers say more than one-thousand people took part in this week’s Racial Justice Summit in Madison. The discussion centered on eliminating racism and empowering women in the workplace and in society. The Y-W-C-A hosted the event Monday and Tuesday at the Monona Terrace. The plan was to create a space where “transformational learning can happen,” according to one spokesperson. They say the work was aimed at making more equitable and inclusive communities.
