The sentence is 40 years in prison for a Marinette County accused in the January shooting death of his wife. Fifty-six-year-old Gary Rogge of Pembine pleaded no contest to first-degree reckless homicide in the death of Shelley Erickson-Rogge. He claims he shot his wife accidentally after they had been drinking all day. Rogge said they were shooting guns at the floor and he was showing Shelley a “quick draw.” Rogge waited two hours to call 9-1-1. Witnesses told police Gary and Shelley were arguing in a bar the day she was killed and surveillance video showed Gary Rogge kissing and holding hands with another woman.
