The smell of manure and fuel filled the air yesterday morning following a crash between a semi and a car in the Kewaunee County town of Montpelier. The initial investigation indicates that the car, who was traveling south on Sleepy Hollow Road, blew through a stop sign. The car then collided with a semi, which was traveling east on Cherneyville Road, which caused the semi’s contents, a trailer full of manure, to spill onto the roadway. The driver of the car had to be transported to a Green Bay hospital, but was suffering non-life threatening injuries. Crews worked feverishly to clean up the fuel and manure.
