The Dane County Circuit judge who handed out a second life sentence in a 2017 fatal shooting at a convenience store says she hopes the punishment will serve as a deterrent. Thirty-five-year-old Damertrius Reeves of Madison was sentenced Friday. Thirty-seven-year-old Curtis Langlois of Wausau was the shooter and he was also given a sentence of life in prison. The two men were involved in the shooting death of 32-year-old Kendrith Young of Waukesha at a 7-Eleven on West Beltline Highway.
