The N-C-A-A has denied the appeal by transfer student Micah Potter, meaning the junior forward won’t be allowed to play for the Wisconsin basketball team until the second semester. Potter will miss 10 games. He joined the Wisconsin program from Ohio State – where the coach and athletic director each wrote letters of support on his behalf, but to no avail. The decision leaves coach Greg Gard’s team thin on the front line until Potter can suit up. The Badgers will meet solid teams like Marquette, North Carolina State, Indiana and Rutgers without him.
