Representative Paul Tittl (R-Manitowoc) presented Andrew Beck of Manitowoc County the First Responder of the Year Award at the State Capitol.
“Andy is a fantastic leader and a hero in our local community”, said Rep. Tittl. “Throughout the nomination process, I heard several examples of Andy making the difference in keeping our neighborhoods safe.”
Andy has been employed with the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office for the past 17 years and is an assistant team leader on the local SWAT team. This year he has also received a letter of recognition this year from the police chief of Manitowoc for his contribution to an investigation involving a double homicide.
Rep. Tittl continued by saying, “Andy’s dad served on the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department before him. Law enforcement runs in his veins”.
On Thursday, the legislature recognized first responders from all across Wisconsin for their extraordinary service.
