
The Capitol Civic Centre’s “Act Two” campaign renovations will officially be unveiled later this month with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening. Attendees of the event on Friday, October 25th from 4-6 p.m. will be able to tour the “Jewel of the Lakeshore” and get a sneak-peak of extensive renovations, including the all-new wider and more comfortable theatre seating, as well as the stunning theatre house accent lighting.
Act Two project director, Dr. John Stern, also announced two, $100,000 donations. One by Investors Community Bank to create what will now be known as the Investors Community Bank Box Office. Long-time patrons & Capitol members Roy and Darlene Geigel also provided a $100,000 donation leading to what will be known as the Roy and Darlene Geigel Mezzanine.
Hamann Construction Company is on target to complete renovations this Thursday, and the first performance is set to take place Saturday night when the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra presents a tribute to the Beatles. Fundraising to reach the Act Two $3.1-million dollar goal continues with select naming rights still available.
