
A 24-year old Manitowoc County man was arrested early yesterday morning following a high-speed chase that began in the City of Two Rivers.
Lieutenant Scott Hodek of the Two Rivers Police Department said his officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Roosevelt Avenue about 4:30 am Sunday for the report of a suspicious vehicle. Police found the unit occupied by a subject-wanted for outstanding warrants & criminal charges.
When officers attempted contact, the suspect fled the scene and led authorities on a pursuit through Two Rivers, the City of Manitowoc and into Manitowoc County while reaching speeds over 100-miles per hour. The fleeing motorist eventually crashed the vehicle in the 56-hundred block of Johnston Drive.
The driver was not injured and is- expected to make an appearance for a bail hearing on Monday.
Lieutenant Hodek said the Sheriff’s Department and Manitowoc Police assisted with the pursuit on Sunday morning.
