Historical Society offers behind the scenes archives tour

Get ready for an adventure in the archives! The Manitowoc County Historical Societ is holding a behind the scenes “White Gloves Archives Tour” of the museum’s archives on Wednesday, October 9, from 5 to 6:30 pm. Participants will follow MCHS staff into the archives to learn the story behind items in the collection. The tour will focus on the museum’s newspaper collection. Advanced registration is required. Space is limited. It is important to note that the collection area is not ADA accessible, and involves steep stairs. Accommodations can be made for those needing assistance. The tour is $20 for Members and Non-members, and proceeds will benefit the Society’s Collection Preservation Fund.  The Manitowoc County Historical Society is located at 924 Pinecrest Road.
