Valders won both divisions of the Reedsville Panther Cross Country Invitational last night. The Viking boys, who are rated #1 in the State division-2 poll, sloshed-through muddy conditions en route to a first place finish with 40 points, followed by Brillion with 75. Manitowoc Lutheran was 3rd at 111. Mishicot wound up 5th, Roncalli was #8 and Reedsville 10th.
Hunter Krepline of the Lions was meet medalist in 16:53, followed by the Valders duo of Shane Griepentrog & Clay Taylor at 2nd & 3rd, respectively. Nolan Winter led Lancer runners in 9th place
In the Girls 5-k race, the Vikings won it with 78-points, while Oconto Falls was runnerup with 118 Lutheran was 4th, Panthers 7th and Jets were 9th. The overall champion was the ‘Lancers’ Brooklyn Luebke in 20:59. Mishicot, which had an incomplete team, had the 2nd finisher in Mykayla Gove Makayla Junk of Reedsville was 8th, Avery Kauth of Valders came in 9th and Lydia Maternoski of Roncalli placed 16th.
