A 70 year old Manitowoc man was taken into police custody yesterday, after he was found to be in possession of child pornography. Several officers went to the man’s home in the 400 block of North 10th Street to execute a search warrant, as he was suspected to be possessing the explicit material. The man denied ever possessing or viewing any pornography containing minors, but an initial search found that to be false. 12 hard drives, along with multiple VHS tapes, DVDs and other media were seized, and officers searched one hard drive and found multiple explicit images. The man was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on one charge of Possessing Child Pornography, but more charges may come, as the remaining media sources are still being searched.
