Manitowoc County is preparing to host another drug disposal event, this time at the JE Hamilton House in Two Rivers. Anyone with any prescription drugs will be able to turn them in between 8:00 AM and noon on October 17th.
As always, pills should be in a quart sized or smaller ziplock style baggie, while liquids creams, powders, and medical inhalers should remain in their original container with caps tightened. Needles, sharps, lancets, mercury devices, chemical waste, electronic glucose monitors, non-medical inhalers, and personal care products like cosmetics and shampoo will NOT be accepted.
If you cannot attend this event, and have prescriptions you would like to get rid of, there is a permanent disposal site at the Two Rivers Police Department. For information on this or other programs call the Recycling Center at 920-683-4333 or visit Manitowoccounty.com/recyclingcenter.
