The deaths of three people found in a Kiel home this spring have been ruled a murder-suicide. Manitowoc County Coroner Curtis Green says 69-year-old Jack G. Schigur fatally shot 50-year-old Julie A. Wood and her 10-year-old grandson Mason Lesczykowski in the head before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Authorities responded to a call at 123 Southridge Drive in the city of Kiel on May 26, 2019, and upon arrival found all three dead in the home. Investigators say that Schigur and Wood were in a relationship and living at the residence and a .380 caliber semi-automatic gun owned and registered by Schigur was used in the shooting. Kiel Police, The State Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation, State Crime Lab and The Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office corroborated in the investigation.
