Update: All roads are clear as of 5:00 p.m.
The Manitowoc Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol are currently attending to a two vehicle accident, which has closed off a section of Memorial Drive. Details of the incident are not being released at this time, but we do know that it occurred near the intersection with Mirro Drive. The vehicles involved are both large commercial style vehicles, and one is laying on its side. Traffic is being diverted around the area, as both the north and south bound lanes are blocked off. It is not known at this time if anyone was injured in the incident.
Detour Details:
All lanes of WIS 42 are closed in both directions at E. Magnolia Avenue. The NB detour is to go west on E. Magnolia Avenue to Johnston Drive, north to WIS 310, east to Woodland Drive, and south back to WIS 42. SB traffic can reverse these directions. Law enforcement is also Asking that motorists tum their headlights on “low beam” as fog is also hampering Driving conditions near the accident scene.
