It is that time of year again. The downtown area of Appleton is ready to host Octoberfest all weekend long. Food, music, and family friendly activities all highlight the weekend, along with the License to Cruise Car Show. The car show will take place this evening from 6:00-9:30 PM, and will feature over 400 classic cars, which will line College Avenue.
The traditional Spaten beer toast took place at around 9:00 this morning, and will have a tribute to the ritual Spaten keg beer tapping at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Many special guests will make appearances throughout the weekend, including several area mayors, and nonprofit grant recipients.
