Bail is set at $25,000 cash for a 25-year-old Milwaukee man charged in the robbery at Popp’s Harbor Town Citgo last weekend. Damone E. Ezell appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court this afternoon on charges of robbery and felony bail jumping. Police say that just before 7 p.m. last Saturday night, Ezell allegedly entered the store on Crawford Boulevard displaying a weapon and received an unknown amount of U.S. Paper currency.
Officers with the Milwaukee Police Department executed a search warrant at his residence where they located several items connecting him to the crime and took him into custody without incident. Conditions of bail are that Ezell have “no contact” with Popps Harbor Town Citgo or Larry’s Shell in Manitowoc, possess no weapon and report to the Manitowoc Police Department for photos and prints upon release. He remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance set for October 7th at 1:30.
