The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will be (is) meeting in Mishicot today. Other agenda items mentioned are a proposal to rename Peshtigo River State Forest to Governor Earl Peshtigo River State Forest in honor of the former governor and a request to accept donations from the Friends of High Cliff State Park of nearly $136,000 to support a new A-D-A accessible playground. The Natural Resources Board may go into a closed session late this morning to confer with legal counsel regarding litigation: one of those involves the Kohler Company & Kohler-Andrae State Park.
Yesterday, board members took a Lake Michigan boat trip to observe sport fishing & have discussions on how it relates to Great Lakes fisheries and went on a tour of the Manure Separation & Treatment System at Pagels Ponderosa near Kewaunee, Wisconsin’s largest family-owned dairy farm.
