The Brewers magic number to clinch a postseason wild-card spot is down to one after a 4-2 win at Cincinnati yesterday. Ryan Braun’s 21st home run was the big blast in the win over the Reds, but a sacrifice fly by Keston Hiura knocked in the winner. Josh Hader came on in the 9th to solidify the win, earning his 36th save in the process.
The Brewers are riding high in September for the second season in a row, winning 18-of-22 games, and are currently on a five game winning streak.
Jordan Lyles starts the second game of the series at Great American Ballpark tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 5:40 PM, and pregame coverage will be aired on 1240 AM WOMT at 5:05 PM.
