At approximately 5:05 PM, the Sheboygan Police Department responded to calls regarding a disturbance at 3060 South Business Drive. A 22-year-old male approached arriving officers and, while being detained, informed them that there was a subject suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle at the end of the parking lot. A firearm was recovered from the 22-year-old man.
The officers subsequently located a 57-year-old male, deceased, in a vehicle in the parking lot. The deceased has been identified as a Manitowoc resident. The police also recovered a large frame firearm from within the vehicle.
The 22-year-old was cooperative and gave a statement that he had driven the deceased subject to the area so the deceased male could obtain funds to pay for work that had been done on his vehicle. While in the parking lot the deceased male pulled a handgun and a struggle ensued inside the vehicle. During the struggle, the 22-year-old male was able to retrieve his own handgun and fired two shots at the 57-year-old man.
