The City of Manitowoc has announced that leaf pickup will begin on October 1st, with the bulk of leaf pickup is expected to be October 7th through November 22nd weather permitting. The goal is to complete pickup in each section each week. Depending on the weather, the volume of leaves and equipment, there may be times a section is not completed. The City is asking that residents be patient and that their leaves will be picked up the following week. They also ask that cars not be parked over leaf piles, and to give the crews space to work for both your safety and theirs. This pickup is for leaves only, and brush or garden waste will be retrieved. That can be disposed of at the Manitowoc County compost sites.
