Manitowoc Public Utilities is inviting the public to come view their facilities in an Open House this afternoon. This event is being held to showcase and educate customers on MPU and their process. As one of more than 2,000 public power utilities across the country, MPU is a utility owned by the residents of the City.
The MPU facilities are located on the corners of 8th and Madison Streets, and a welcome booth will be setup in the employee parking area off of Madison St. behind the Main Office. The open house will run from 1:00-6:00 PM, and several other city departments, such as Focus on Energy, Partners for Community Development, the Waste Water Treatment Facility, and the Manitowoc Park and Rec Department will also have displays available to view.
