The Green Bay man accused of Stabbing a K9 Police Officer has been deemed competent to stand trial. The incident in question took place on April 7th and saw 30-year-old Sai Vang stab K9 Pyro after threatening to stab his own father. Family members of Vang claim he suffers from mental health issues, including a diagnosed case of paranoid schizophrenia. A psychiatrist examined Vang and determined he was able to stand trial, a report that was reviewed, and approved by Judge Timothy Hinkfuss. Vang will be back in court for his preliminary hearing on September 25th.
