The Appleton Police Department has released more information on the suspicious death that occurred Sunday morning. The Police were called to perform a welfare check on a 47-year-old man in the 500 block of Johnston Street at around 5:40 am. but found the man to be dead when they got there. The man is reported to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and police learned through their investigation that there was a gathering in the basement prior to the death. According to a news release, “some type of disturbance…between several individuals and multiple gunshots occurred.” Anyone with any information on the incident is encouraged to contact the Appleton Police Department at 920-832-5500.
