Manitowoc Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for a sexual assault that took place earlier this month. Officers were called to Aurora Medical Center late last week after a woman claimed to have been sexually assaulted. The victim told police that the man, whom she had known for several years, was at her apartment on Sunday, September 8th, and the man placed his hand on her leg. She told him “No”, but he allegedly pushed her onto a love seat, and began strangling her with his belt. She passed out and woke up to find the man sexually assaulting her. The victim told police that he said that he was going to kill her, and she responded: “Just kill me.” The assault finally stopped when the man got off of her and said: “You’re not any fun.” The assailant was arrested last Friday on charges of Second Degree Sexual Assault, Strangulation, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
