Bustamante Arraignment Hearing Tuesday Morning

An 18-year-old Two Rivers man has pled “not guilty” to charges of attempted first-degree homicide. Cortez N. Bustamante appeared for his arraignment hearing this morning in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. He’s also charged with robbery—bail jumping and obstructing. Authorities were called to a residence July 23^rd and discovered that Bustamante allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old Manitowoc man for which no motive was given. The victim has since recovered from what were termed “life-threatening” injuries. Bustamante remains in the County Jail on $250,000 cash bail with a settlement conference scheduled with the District Attorney’s Office October 11^th at 8:30.
