The Wall That Heals is all packed up and is on its way to its next display location, but it definitely left an imprint on Manitowoc County. The Manitowoc County Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America did not keep track of the number of people that came to see it, but President Terry Johnson says that “Almost everybody that our chapter talked to or other workers talked to was thrilled with it coming here, and was excited to see it.”
Johnson also said that they had “wonderful support from our community. We are very thankful for that, because they helped make this a big success.” Around 90 people showed up to help with the disassembly of the Wall, which made the process run smoothly.
