A welfare check has turned into a suspicious death investigation in Appleton. The Appleton Police went to the 500 block of Johnston Street just before 5:45 AM on yesterday to check on someone people were reported was unresponsive. Police determined that the man was dead not long after arriving on the scene. Not much information is available at this time, but we do know that the deceased is a male. The investigation is still in its early stages, and we hope to have more information soon.
