The City of Two Rivers has announced that the groundbreaking for the Cobblestone Hotel will be taking place Thursday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. The event will be taking place at the future location of the hotel, at the corner of 16th and Jefferson Streets. The project is expected to take about ten months, with a projected opening date sometime in the spring of next year. The City of Two Rivers invested $6.3 million into the four-story 55 room facility, in an attempt to attract more visitors to the Lakeshore. Investors also contributed a total of $1.5 million as well.
