The Manitowoc Police Department has released a video of the car accident that occurred on Sunday, September 8 at approximately 7 p.m. on N. Rapids Rd. at Waldo Blvd.
In the video, you can see a black vehicle traveling through the intersection while a white vehicle fails to stop at a red light and is struck by the black vehicle. A second angle shows the white vehicle careen off into the ditch and flip over, trapping the individuals inside. Citizens came to the aid of those that were trapped, they stayed until police and EMS arrived.
In a Facebook post, the Manitowoc Police Department states, “We want to remind everyone about the serious outcome that can result of being distracted while driving.”
