Custer Street between South 26th and South 30th Street will be closed to through traffic in order to accommodate repairs to the Canadian National (CN) Railroad Crossing.
The work is scheduled to start on Monday, September 9th.
There will be a detour route established for through traffic.
Eastbound traffic on Custer Street will be detoured onto South 30th St., then proceed southbound on S. 30th St. to Calumet Ave., then proceeding eastbound on Calumet Ave. back to Custer Street. The Westbound detour will follow the same detour route.
Weather permitting, it is anticipated that the railroad repair work will be completed and the street re-opened to traffic by the end of the workday on Friday, September 13th.
