The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says the vast majority of recent lung disease cases in the state are related to vaping T-H-C products. Eighty-nine percent of the 32 patients reported using e-cigarettes or other devices to inhale T-H-C oil or waxes. The D-H-S is still investigating all possible causes and working with the F-D-A to determine the contents of vaping products. D-H-S Secretary-designee Andrea Palm said, “vaping cartridges containing T-H-C may include chemicals or additives that are unknown, unregulated, and unsafe.” She’s strongly urging people not to vape. Fourteen counties now have cases and no deaths have been reported in Wisconsin.
