Milwaukee County prosecutors accuse a former worker at a Wauwatosa JCPenny store of giving herself a 99-percent discount. Between March 19 and April 11, 2018, Dixon fraudulently reduced prices of merchandise by as much as 99 percent and shipped many of those orders to her mother’s house. In another instance, Dixon tried charging $47,337.07 worth of merchandise for only $3.60, but that transaction was voided. Umeko Dixon reportedly paid just $5.50 cents for nearly $800 worth of clothes, shoes and other items. If she is convicted on the felony charges, Dixon could be sentenced to 10 years in prison and/or a maximum fine of $25,000.
