Milwaukee Woman Killed Near Moody Park Identified As Community Activist

The 20-year-old Milwaukee woman who was killed in a Sunday night shooting near Moody Park has been identified as a community activist.  Quanita L. Jackson — known by friends and family members as Tay — was a part of several organizations working to reduce violence in the city.  She was one of the people who put together a three-on-three charity basketball tournament last weekend at the park.  The park had been the scene of several violent incidents in the past, but Jackson’s work had eased some of the concerns — until Sunday night.
