One of Wisconsin’s premiere sausage makers is expanding in Sheboygan County. Johnsonville isn’t adding any additional production plants, but instead are planning on putting a retail store across the street from their headquarters building in the town of Sheboygan Falls. The store will be located at the corner of Highway J and Rio Road. The projected size of the building would be 3,500 square feet, and would sell over 70 different Johnsonville product, including some that aren’t available at other retailers. Groundbreaking is expected to take place in early September, and is expected to be opening in 2020, just in time to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary.
