
The Milwaukee Brewers dropped four games off the pace in the National League Central Division with a 9-4 loss at St. Louis Tuesday. Milwaukee led 2-1 when four relievers gave up eight runs in the sixth and seventh innings, while only registering five outs. Gio Gonzalez started and pitched well before the bullpen collapsed, and Alex Claudio had a great showing for the one batter he faced. Claudio was brought on in the 6th with the based loaded and no outs, but rose to the occasion striking out the batter in four pitches. The defeat was the sixth in the last eight games. Adrian Houser starts gets the start tonight (Wednesday) as Milwaukee tries to avoid a crippling sweep.
