Derrick Sanders is demanding five-point-seven-million dollars after prosecutors dropped the charges last year. Compensation for wrongful convictions is limited to 25-thousand dollars in Wisconsin. If the claims board turns Sanders down, he could decide to sue. Prosecutors in the case reportedly don’t oppose granting him the full amount.
