The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation announces they are supporting Redline Plastics of Manitowoc’s $12 million expansion. The WEDC is authorizing up to $150 thousand in state Income tax credits over the next three years. The actual amount is contingent upon the actual number of jobs created and the amount of capital investment.
The family-owned and operated manufacturer of molded and vacuum-formed plastics, as well as leather and textile cut and sew products, is expanding operations that are expected to create 44 jobs. In addition, an economic modeling study estimates the project could indirectly generate 120 regional jobs expected to generate over $300 thousand in state income tax revenue through the duration of the three-year project.
A new 117,500 squarefoot manufacturing facility will house rotational molding-vacuum forming and cut and sew operations for Redline Plastics and Dowco Powersports. The project also consists of a complete manufacturing warehouse on the ground level plus 11,000 square feet of office space on a mezzanine.
25TH Assembly District Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc states “It’s great to see local-family-owned businesses investing in our community. It’s an example of what I have been saying for years. Supporting the existing businesses in our own backyard is the key to creating jobs.” The project is expected to be completed in November.
