Sometimes technology can be a huge pain, but other times, it helps authorities catch a car thief. An unnamed 17-year-old boy stole a vehicle from a parking lot in Kaukauna yesterday morning, and OnStar assisted authorities in locating the vehicle. Outagamie County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away, causing OnStar to disable the vehicle on County Road U, near the Apple Creek Campground in the Town of Wrightstown. The driver was arrested without injury, but the vehicle sustained major damage both inside and out. The driver of the vehicle says she is now looking for a new car, but of course, it must have OnStar.
