A 45 year old Milwaukee man is facing charges after an attempted homicde in Manitowoc two years ago. The charges stem from an incident on May 19th, 2017, when a 44 year old Manitowoc resident was shot multiple times in his home in the 700 block of South 15th Street. The man was flown to a Green Bay hospital. It was determined that Dajuan B. Deshazer was responsible after a witness came forward earlier this year, claiming Deshazer threatened him to keep quiet. Deshazer allegedly deleated key evidence off of his cellphone, which was recovered, leading to his arrest. Deshazer had his initial appearance in Manitowoc County Circuit Court on Monday, and is facing a charge of first degree intentional homicide. He could spend up to 60 years in prison if found guilty. Deshazer is currently being held in the Winnebago County Jail on $250,000 cash bail, serving a sentence that will be over in September.
