Two men were in the Manitowoc County Courthouse on Monday for their initial hearings. 18 year old Cortez Bustamante is facing attempted first degree intentional homicide and armed robbery with threat of force charges, following a stabbing incident in Two Rivers. Bustamante allegedly told his victim “I’ll stab you in your jugular vein and make you die” during the attack. Also in court was 22 year old Justice Rezachek, who is facing charges after he allegedly delivered the heroin to a man who ended up overdosing and dying. 22 year old Jessica Herman is also facing charges in the incident. Bustamante is being held on $250,000 cash bond, and will be back in court for his preliminary hearing on August 29th. Rezachek is also still in the Manitowoc County Jail on a $10,000 bond, and is expected to have his preliminary hearing in September.
