The Wisconsin Badgers football team was already thin at the tight end position — even before junior Luke Benzschawel reinjured his right knee. Benzschawel was number-two on the team’s depth chart behind Jake Ferguson. It isn’t clear how much time he might miss, but his absence leaves coach Paul Chryst with only a redshirt freshman and two true freshmen on the roster at the position. Benzschawel had to be helped off the field when he was hurt during Monday’s practice.
