Appleton Father Dies Trying To Save His Child Who Was Struggling To Swim

Marquette County authorities report a 36-year-old Appleton man was trying to save his child while she struggled to swim when he died.  The child was able to make it to shore.  Witnesses say Erik Williams didn’t make it out of the water at the Lake of the Woods Campground.  Bystanders performed C-P-R until emergency responders arrived, but Williams couldn’t be saved.
