A unified community brand message and a single electronic source for community information were among the most important actions identified as necessary for community growth, according to an extensive community-wide study performed during the Vision 2022 process. Over the last year, a collaborative branding process was underway which included key community organizations and municipal partners, which aimed to address those needs. Community Engagement, Development, & Advancement Resources (CEDAR) President Mary Maurer said that even though that process was never fully completed, “…the team at CEDAR Collaborative felt that all the key components were there to finish the work and deliver a new, focused brand to Manitowoc County.” Maurer indicates that they will be launching a dynamic new website to the area that creates an exciting, easy, one-site source, intended to serve current citizens along with visitors and those considering relocating here, and hopes to have it operational by fall.
