The Green Bay Packers won their first preseason game 28-26 Thursday night over the Houston Texans. The game at Lambeau Field wasn’t as close as the score indicates because the Texans put 16 unanswered points on the board in the fourth quarter. Reserve quarterback DeShone Kizer was effective, hitting eight-of-13 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown and Tim Boyle threw a pair of T-D passes in the third period as the Packers built a 28-10 lead. Aaron Rodgers didn’t play. Green Bay travels to Baltimore for the second preseason game next Thursday.
