
Bail is set at $30,000 cash for a 26 year old Manitowoc man facing multiple drug charges in two separate cases. Timothy J. Yax was taken into custody Wednesday after leading police on a short foot chase on the city’s southside. Officers went to a residence In the 1500 block of South 13th Street after they were informed that it might be where Yax and a female suspect were at and both had warrants out for their arrest. Police spoke to Yax’s father who gave permission for them to search for his son. Timothy eventually showed up then fled on foot once he saw police. He was taken into custody a short time later at his residence after authorities discovered multiple drugs. Charges include possession of meth, cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana all with intent to deliver.
Bail was set at $20,000 cash plus $10,000 cash bail was issued in a separate case where he’s charged with delivery of heroin. Conditions of bail include that Yax have no contact with any known drug dealers or users, maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol and report to the Manitowoc Police Department for photos and prints upon release. He remains in the County Jail and has an initial appearance scheduled for Monday afternoon at 1:30.
