The Forst Inn is well known for providing quality arts and culture to Northeast Wisconsin, and this weekend they are trying something a little different. The first-ever Forst Fest will be taking place on Sunday at E2910 County Road BB in Tisch Mills. Bill Fricke and Cathrine Egger from the Inn were on the WCUB Breakfast Club recently, and told us that the day will begin with a 5K Walk/Run at 10:30 AM. The race will begin at the front steps of the Inn and will end at Cold Country Winery, which is coincidently exactly 3.1 miles. The winery will be open for those that wish to try some wine.
On top of the race being timed by It’s Race Time Inc, there will also be an additional contest coinciding with a historical event. “That week also happens to be the 50 anniversary of Woodstock,” Egger explained. “So there will be a costume contest for the walkers and runners.” Fricke also informed us that the runners will also receive a shirt, adorned with the name of the race, “Run Forst Run”.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Forst Inn event without live music. Egger broke down the lineup, telling us that the entertainment in the tent will begin at 1:00 with Jukebox Elvis, then at 4:00 Listening Party, and Abraxas – Tribute to Santana taking the stage at 7:00 PM. Other acts will perform in the theater and in the pub.
There will also be kids activities, concessions, and drinks available.
