The University of Wisconsin has filed a waiver on behalf of basketball player Micah Potter. The Ohio State transfer and head coach Greg Gard are hopeful he will be allowed to take the court when the season starts in November. N-C-A-A rules say an athlete has to sit out two semesters before he can play for a new team and Potter only sat out one in Madison. He and his coach are hoping the semester he didn’t play — but did attend classes at Ohio State — will satisfy that requirement.
